tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-76134550731620401412012-02-16T19:51:44.443ZThe Grendellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01025619611813098326noreply@blogger.comBlogger11100tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7613455073162040141.post-90413317532169244882010-12-14T13:00:00.002Z2010-12-14T13:17:36.447ZAfter probably a whole year of inactivity on the blogging, I have decided to start once more in 2011 (and obviously the very end of 2010).<br /><br />The last year has been as normal a total roller coaster of darts for me, with some highs and all time lows to contend with.<br /><br />A quick recap of the Winter Season to start with, so far in Wimborne League C Section, I have 9 wins from 11 games, which isn't too shabby, especially considering I broke my hand 4 weeks ago and am still playing on. Unfortunately, this will be my last season in Wimborne for a while. This is due to the attitudes of some other players in the Division I'm playing in (3rd Division, cos I'm playing for my old man), I have received some pretty nasty comments over the last 18 months, because people don't think someone of my ability should be playing in a lower division, but last night provided the straw that broke the camels back, with someone physically threatening me. Sore loser no doubt, I laughed it off but I'm not willing to put up with someone who could be potentially violent, just over a game of darts in a pub.<br /><br />Anyway, enough of that, onto Wednesdays, where I am currently 4 out of 7, and this is a very tough league, so I'm happy with my record, the team is trying hard to cope with life in the top section, I just hope we can retain our status, as I'd like to maintain my record of never being in a relegated side.<br /><br />Friday nights are going OK, I'm 5 out of 11, and that will improve, had a few unlucky nights.<br /><br />Superleague isn't going well, I've only managed 1 win out of 6, and only 1 game where I've hit a 20 average (awful), I think I may sit out for a while soon, when we can get enough players to enable me to do so.<br /><br />Sunday money league went well, finished 7th, an improvement on my 11th from last year.<br /><br />2011 is a year to look forward to, I already have booked my trip to the Dutch Open, I have a new sponsor in The Green Man, Wimborne, and I'm getting expert coaching from dartsperformancecentre.co.uk<br /><br />Hopefully my hand will be healing sufficiently in the next couple weeks so I can put some serious hours in on the board, and then I can improve my current rankings:<br /><br />E.D.O National Ranking: Equal 1174th<br />Dorset Superleague Ranking: 92nd<br /><br />Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7613455073162040141-9041331753216924488?l=supergrendell.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>The Grendellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01025619611813098326noreply@blogger.com0
